The Delusion of Clarity
The life you’ll live tomorrow is shaped by the decisions you make today. But let’s be real—making the right choice isn’t always easy. With so many voices, distractions, and options, even our best intentions can get blurry. That’s why so many of us find ourselves praying, “Lord, give me clarity.”
But here’s something to think about: God never tells us to pray for clarity. He tells us to ask for wisdom. James 1:5 says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously… and it will be given to you.”
My friends, clarity shows you the destination, but wisdom is the transportation.
We weren’t called to live by clarity—we were called to live by faith. And faith means moving forward even when you can’t see the full picture. If you’re feeling stuck, ask yourself: are you paralyzed waiting for clarity when God is asking you to walk by faith?
Hebrews 11:1 reminds us, “Faith is the evidence of things not seen.” Most of the decisions you’re waiting to make won’t come wrapped in crystal-clear answers. They’ll become clearer as you move.
Look at Abraham. When God called him, He said, “Go to a place I will show you.” No GPS. No itinerary. Just a promise. Abraham could’ve said, “But where exactly, Lord?” Instead, he walked. And then God showed.
So let me ask you: Are you still waiting on everything to line up perfectly before you take the first step? Are you holding off until the fog lifts? My friend, the breakthrough you're praying for is not in your comfort—it’s in your obedience.
Start walking. Make the decision. Trust God with the rest.
Faith doesn’t always come with clarity, but it always comes with favor.
And when you move in faith, I believe God will meet you with wisdom, direction, and reward.
